The “Ancient” cards feature a swoosh in the template background that resembles layers of earth while the “Future” cards feature a digitized background. It is not yet know what these mechanics will include, but it might have similar effects like Rapid-Strike and Single-Strike Pokemon from Fusion Strike.
It was also revealed the ACE SPEC mechanic will be returning to the TCG next year! The mechanic was first introduced in the Boundaries Crossed set in 2012. ACE SPEC cards were powerful Item cards that were limited to one per deck. They will probably work in a similar way.
