Blizzard shared a screenshot that appeared to be from an internal build, which showed a slightly different Season 2 end date. While in-game, the end date of Season of Blood has always been displayed as January 23, 2024, during BlizzCon, and in their latest Abattoir of Zir YouTube video, it appears that the developer’s internal build shows a Season 2 end date of January 26, 2024.
While this theory has yet to be confirmed, it should be noted that Diablo 4 Global Community Development Director, Adam Fletcher has stated that the team would like to launch future Seasons later in the week. These weekend releases would allow gamers to spend more time in Sanctuary at the beginning of every Season.
We noticed this isn’t ideal and plan to adjust in future seasons to later in the week. More like Thursday or Fridays.
