While Blizzard already announced an extended maintenance for 8 hours on Tuesday for NA realms, in order to publish the 2nd Phase of the Pre-Patch, we are taking a look into all the changes to leveling that are coming with this phase. The required experience to gain a new level is getting significantly reduced, but the Threads of Fate option for Shadowlands becomes disabled.
As soon as Phase 2 of the Dragonflight Pre-Patch goes live, players will see a significant reduction in experience required to level from 50-60.

Threads of Fate was a new way of leveling through Shadowlands. Instead of replaying the Shadowlands storyline, we were able to chose the “Threads of Fate” option to skip the storyline, and start your adventure in doing World Quests and Torghast. This option becomes disabled with the release of the second Phase of the Dragonflight Pre-Patch.
Every character that already chose the Threads of Fate, you are able to finish your leveling experience throughout this system. If you have already chosen Threads of Fate, make sure to NOT choose Chromie Time’s Shadowlands – Realms of Death. If you do, you will not be able to finish leveling with the Threads of Fate timeline.
Newly creater Evoker’s have to complete the Covenant campaign storyline in order to unlock their Covenants.
