Changes in Season 3

Season 3 has introduced many Class Changes, aswell as a new Tier Set, new Embellishments and more.

Demon Hunter

  • Developer’s note: Updates for Demon Hunter talents are in progress but were not ready for testing just yet. Goals for the updates include: improving pathing and connections in the Class tree; addressing underused talents; increasing access to key Havoc utility that currently clashes with DPS; updating existing talents to improve resultant gameplay; improving Vengeance’s Sigil-related talents as a possible build identity or to be incorporated into other builds more successfully; and adding a couple new talents that help achieve those goals.
We expect Demon Hunter talent changes to roll in over the course of the next few PTR updates. Check back soon!
  • Developers’ note: Demon Hunter talent updates will be starting to roll in as they become ready, starting with Havoc tree changes in this week’s PTR build. Stat Priority in Patch 10.2

General Stat Priority for Vengeance Demon Hunters with our Build is:

  1. Agility
  2. Haste
  3. Versatility
  4. Critical Strike
  5. Mastery

  • Agility is your primary stat, meaning that Itemlevel is superior in most cases. Higher Itemlevel will also increase your Stamina and Armor that you gain.
  • Critical Strike increases the chance for your abilities and spells to deal double damage.
  • Haste reduces your global cooldown, your time to cast spells, and reduces the cooldown of many abilities.
  • Versatility grants you a flat damage and healing increase, but also a damage decrease for half of its value.
  • Mastery increases your Armor depending on your Agility. This bonus is doubled during Demon Spikes. Also increases your attack power.

The further we are getting into the expansion, the effects of diminishing returns start to limit your effective gain of your secondary stats. After reaching 30% (by rating) of any given stat, you will start to receive a penalty that reduces the gain from more of the same stat over this treshold.

Stat priority can differ on every character. Make sure to simulate yourself on Raidbots get the perfect results for you.
