Welcome to our Preservation Evoker Guide for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. We will help you to learn and master Preservation Evoker in either Raids or Mythic Keystone Dungeons.

Basics of Preservation Evoker

Evoker are the new Hero Class introduced with Dragonflight. They can Empower their spells, making them even more powerful, but also taking longer to cast. Preservation Evokers use the Bronze and Green Dragonaspect to heal their allies.

Use Fire Breath with Maximum Empower, on cooldown
Use Disintegrate to spend Essences
Use Deep Breath on cooldown
Use Living Flame as filler

Maintain Reversion on your primary target
Use Echo to spend Essences on your primary target
Use Spiritbloom to heal your primary target with Level 1 Empower
Use Verdant Embrace for a quick emergency heal

General Talent Tree

Most Notable Talents

Tip of the Scales is a 2-minute cooldown which causes your next empowered spell to be cast instantly at its maximum empower leve.

Most of the Evoker’s General Talent Tree grant more Sustainability and Utility. Source of Magic is a new buff which can be only applied to a friendly healer, causimg them to restore 0.25% of their maximum mana per level of an empowered cast of you. Rescue causes you to leap towards a friendly ally and fly together with them to your targeted location. Oppressing Roar increases the duration of all crowd control effects on enemies in front of you by 50% that will be afflicted in the next 10 seconds.

Other Damage Talents

Passive damage notes like Enkindled increase the damage and heal of Living Flame. Innate Magic causes your Essences to regenerate faster. Instinctive Arcana increases your magical damage done, Attuned to the Dream your healing done.

Allocated Talents to Attuned to the Dream increase the heal of your Emerald Blossom and increase the amount of your heals. Allocated Talents to Instinctive Arcana grant longer duration on Fire Breath, additional targets hit by Azure Strike, and Fire Breath causing your next Living Flame to hit additional targets.

Crowd Control & Utility

Landslide, Walloping Blow and Quell are your Crowd Control abilities. Zephyr grants you a 2-minute cooldown, which causes you and 4 nearest allies to take less damage taken from area-of-effects. Rescue and Twin Guardian will grant an absorb shield to you and your rescued ally. Time Spiral is a 2-minute cooldown which allows all players to use their major movement ability once again in the next 10 seconds, regardless if they are on cooldown.

Defensive Talents

Obsidian Scales grants you a damage reduction, while other small Talent notes are granting passive Stamina increase. Renewing Blaze, Scarlet Adaptation and Cauterizing Flame granting you additional defensive Healing cooldowns

Specialization Talent Tree

Single Target Talents

Echo heals your target, and causes your next different healing spell to cast an additional time.
Reversion applies a healing-over-time effect on your target.
Time Dilation is a 1-minute cooldown, which causes your target to take 50% less damage for the next 8 seconds, and instead takes those 50% as periodic damage debuff.
Stasis is a 1.5 minute cooldown which causes your next 3 helpful spells to be duplicated, and by pressing Stasis again you unleash them.
Time of Need causes you to spawn a duplicate of yourself, and heal you or an ally who fell below 20% health.

Multi Target Talents

Cycle of Life causes every 3 Emerald Blossom to leave a tiny sprout on the floor. This sprout saves 15% of your healing, and then heals all allies within 30 yards for the stored heal, divided by all of them.
Dream Flight is a 2-minute cooldown, which makes you fly over the targeted area, and heal all allies.
Dream Breath is a frontal cone which can be empowered to heal allies in its radius.
Temporal Anomaly spawns a forward-travelling orb which grants allies an absorb shield whenever struck.
Spiritbloom is a very strong heal which can be empowered to heal additional allies.
Life-Giver’s Flame causes the damage of your Fire Breath to heal up to 5 allies for 40% of its damage.
Rewind is a 4-minute cooldown which reverts 50% of the damage all allies within 40 yards took in the last 5 seconds.

Stat Priority

General Stat Priority for Preservation Evoker with our Build is:

Intellect
Critical Strike = Mastery = Haste
Versatility

Intellect is your primary stat, meaning that Itemlevel is superior in most cases. Higher Itemlevel will also increase your Stamina and Armor that you gain.

Critical Strike increases the chance for your abilities and spells to deal double damage.

Haste reduces your global cooldown, your time to cast spells, and reduces the cooldown of many abilities.

Versatility grants you a flat damage increase, but also a damage decrease for half of its value.

Mastery increases your healing whenever your target has lower health then yourself.

The further we are getting into the expansion, the effects of diminishing returns start to limit your effective gain of your secondary stats. After reaching 30% (by rating) of any given stat, you will start to receive a penalty that reduces the gain from more of the same stat over this treshold.
