Changes in Season 3

Season 3 has introduced many Class Changes, aswell as a new Tier Set, new Embellishments and more.

Shaman

  • Mana Spring now restores 150 mana for Enhancement Shamans (was 250), 150 mana for Restoration Shamans (was 350), and 100 mana for Elemental Shamans (was 150) at level 70.

Elemental

  • Splintered Elements now grants you 20 percent Haste plus an additional four percent Haste per extra target hit by Primordial Wave, rather than 10 percent Haste per target hit.
  • Further Beyond can now only increase the duration of Further Beyond by up to 150 percent of the original duration of Ascendance.
  • Primordial Wave can no longer be used to heal a friendly ally, it is now only an offensive spell for Elemental Shaman.
  • Fixed an issue where Splintered Elements was incorrectly granting you four percent extra Haste than intended when activating against a single target.
  • Elemental Blast can now refresh and extend the duration of the Haste, Critical Strike, and Mastery effects to up to 130 percent of the base 10 second duration, but will still prefer to apply a buff that you don’t already have.
  • Fixed an issue where Further Beyond would not properly extend Ascendance to the maximum duration if the extension amount would have put it beyond the maximum extension amount.
  • Fixed an issue where Further Beyond didn’t properly extend extra Ascendance activations from Deeply Rooted Elements if you were already under the effects of Ascendance from Deeply Rooted Elements.
  • Further Beyond can now extend the duration of Ascendance by up to 100 percent (was 150 percent).

Stat Priority in Patch 10.2

General Stat Priority for Elemental Shaman with our Build is:

  1. Intellect
  2. Critical Strike
  3. Haste
  4. Versatility
  5. Mastery

  • Intellect is your primary stat, meaning that Itemlevel is superior in most cases. Higher Itemlevel will also increase your Stamina and Armor that you gain.
  • Critical Strike increases the chance for your abilities and spells to deal double damage.
  • Haste reduces your global cooldown, your time to cast spells, and reduces the cooldown of many abilities.
  • Versatility grants you a flat damage increase, but also a damage decrease for half of its value.
  • Mastery causes some of your spells to have a chance to deal additional damage.

The further we are getting into the expansion, the effects of diminishing returns start to limit your effective gain of your secondary stats. After reaching 30% (by rating) of any given stat, you will start to receive a penalty that reduces the gain from more of the same stat over this treshold.

Stat priority can differ on every character. Make sure to simulate yourself on Raidbots get the perfect results for you.
