Sadana Bloodfury

The first Boss in Shadowmoon Burial Grounds is Sadana Bloodfury.

‘Sadana Bloodfury is a powerful acolyte of the Shadowmoon clan, deeply connected to the lunar cycles. When the whispers of the dark star worked their way into the hearts of the Shadowmoon, Sadana followed her chieftain Ner’zhul into their clan’s burial grounds, using her powers to lure the spirits of the dead for a twisted purpose.’

Notable Abilities
  • Dark Communion spawns an add which has to be killed immediatly. It travels towards the boss, and if hit, it heals the Boss for 40% of its health
  • Daggerfall spawns a zone below a random player, which deals heavy damage to players remaining inside
  • Dark Eclipse deals deadly damage to players if not immuned by walking into Lunar Runes

Deathspike deals heavy damage to the tank and has to be mitigated. This is a buff, frequently affecting Sadana. During that time, Tanks should use their defensive cooldowns to mitigate incoming damage.

Whispers of the Dark Star

Whenever the Bosses channels Whispers of the Dark Star, all party members will take periodic damage until the cast is finished. Healers have to compensate the incoming Damage

Daggerfall

Whenever the Boss uses Daggerfall, a voidzone will spawn below a random players location. This deals heavy damage on impact and leaves a radiating voidzone on the floor.

Players remaining in that zone take consistent heavy damage every second.

Dark Communion

Whenever Sadana used Dark Communion, a Defiled Spirit will spawn which quickly travels towards the Boss.

This Add can be slowed and stunned, and has to be killed immediatly

Whenever the Add reaches the Boss, Sadana gains 10% of her health back, and increases her damage by 20%.

Dark Eclipse

The Boss will teleport to the middle of the room and starts channeling Dark Eclipse. This deals deadly damage to all players which are not affected by Lunar Purity.

To gain this buff, players have to walk into one of the Runes at the edge of the room. Those runes deal damage whenever you step inside while she does not channel Dark Eclipse. Wait for the Runes to turn blue to safely walk into them.

Nhallish in the Whispering Hollows

Just a short way after the first Boss Sadana Bloodfury, you will already encounter the second Boss Nhallish.

Notable Trash Mobs

You will encounter multiple Subjugated Souls, paired with their Shadowmoon Enslaver on your way to the second Boss Nhallish. These itself are not dangerous, but the Enslaver will buff the Souls with Domination, increasing their damage done significantly.

In the Boss area, there are barrows on the floor, which will spawn an Exhumed Spirit whenever stepping on these. These do not have any special abilities though.

Nhallish

The second Boss you will encounter in the Shadowmoon Burial Grounds is Nhallish.

‘When Ner’zhul tore the fabric of reality and allowed the Void to spill into the rituals burial grounds of the Shadowmoon clan, the malefic spirit Nhallish came through that rift in search of souls upon which to feed. Ancient and born of pure darkness, Nhallish seeks to devour all life.’

Notable Abilities

Void Blast

This spell is a frontal cone which will aim towards the tank. It deals heavy damage and Tanks should use their defensive cooldowns in that moment.

Planar Shift

Planar Shift will make the Boss teleport to the location of a random ranged player and cast Void Vortex afterwards.

Void Vortex

Whenever Nhallish casts Void Vortex, a purple circle appears that deals damage to all party members and tries to draw in all players into its center.

If players are drawn into the circle around the Boss, they will suffer moderate damage per second.

Void Devastation

Nhallish will frequently cast Void Devastation for 15 seconds, spawning little purple voidzones near players, dealing damage whenever a player is hit.

Players have to dodge these, and especially during Void Vortex have to be very mindful about their movement.

Soul Shred

When Nhallish transitions to Phase 2 of the fight, he will cast Soul Shred. This sends all players into a solo-phase where they are alone and have to fight a copy of themself.

If you are successful defeating your Enemy, you will gain Returned Soul, increasing you damage and healing done by 40% for 20 seconds.

Click your Soul as soon as you defeat your enemy, and return to the regular Phase.

Pools of Reflection, Bonemaw

Make your way downstairs after defeating Nhallish in order to reach the Pools of Reflection. In the middle, you will encounter Bonemaw.

Notable Trash Mobs

On your way into the Pools of Reflection, you will encounter Monstrous Corpse Spiders which will deal party-wide damage with Necrotic Burst, and heavy Tank damage with Death Venom, which can be interrupted.

Plagued Bats will attack all players with Plague Spit, leaving a debuff on them dealing stacking periodic damage.

Carrion Worms will rise up from the water as players cross the bridge to Bonemaw’s platform. They will use Body Slam, a frontal cone, indicated with a graphic on the floor. Players hit will take heavy damage and be knocked away. Use the Water Jets to get out of the water.

Bonemaw

The second to last boss in Shadowmoon Burial Grounds is Bonemaw.

‘Deep within the subterranean caverns under Shadowmoon Valley, the carrion worm Bonemaw has a symbiotic relationship with Ner’zhul’s followers: The creature feasts upon the dead left in the wake of the Shadowmoon cult’s dark rituals, and in return it serves as a formidable guardian of Ner’zhul’s inner sanctum.’

Notable Abilities
  • Bonemaw spawns additional Carrion Worm, which will Fetid Spit uncontrollably if no melees are in range
  • Body Slam deals heavy damage and knocks players away if hit
  • Inhale soaks all players into the Boss. Players soaked into the boss will suffer very heavy damage

Corpse Breath

Whenever Bonemaw casts Corpse Breath, he will spawn Necrotic Pitch under players location.

This is indicated by a purple voidzone. Standing inside this will slow your movement speed by 75%, and becomes relevant whenever the boss uses Inhale.

Inhale

Bonemaw will draw all players into him with Inhale, dealing heavy damage when players are hit and teleporting them into the water. Players are pacified while in the water, and have to use the Water Jets to get out of it.

Use Necrotic Pitch to avoid getting pulled into the boss.

Body Slam

After Inhale, Bonemaw will spawn additional Carrion Worm into the fight. Bonemaw and all Carion Worms will use Body Slam frequently, knocking all players away and dealing heavy damage.

Fetid Spit

Bonemaw and all Carion Worms will use Fetid Spit as their main attack against the Tank, or the closest player in their range. If there is no player in range, they spit uncontrollably, consistently dealing damage to all players.

Ner’zhul in the Edge of Reality

After Bonemaw, you will encounter only a few enemies until you find the portal to the Edge of Reality, and finally face the last boss – Ner’zhul

Notable Trash Mobs

Between Bonemaw and Ner’zhul are just two packs of enemies.

The first pack contains again Bats and Spiders as before, and before the Portal to the Edge of Reality, players will encounter two Void Spawns, as they did before the first Boss.

Ner’zhul

Last Boss of Shadowmoon Burial Grounds is Ner’zhul.

‘Ner’zhul, chieftain and elder shaman of the Shadowmoon clan, sacrificed the heart and soul of his tribe in an attempt to join the Iron Horde. He has now retreated to his clan’s ancient burial grounds as he ventures ever further along a dark path, embracing the power of the Void and the necromantic arts.’

Notable Abilities
  • Ritual of Bones spawns a line of Adds, which will travel across the room. Kill and focus one to create a path trough them.
  • Omen of Death is a voidzone that deals more damage the closer players are to it

Malevolence

Ner’zhul will use Malevolence aimed towards the current tank position, and deals heavy damage in a frontal cone infront of him.

Tanks have to face the boss carefully away from the group, especially when walking trough your cleared path in the Ritual of Bones.

Omen of Death

This abilitiy leaves a voidzone on the floor which radiates for damage to all party members.

The further players are away from Omen of Death, the less damage they take from it.

Ritual of Bones

Like Painsmith Raznal in the Sanctum of Domination during Shadowlands, Ritual of Bones creates a wall of adds traveling across the room. Players are taking deadly damage if hit, or standing in the void that they leave behind.

Focus all your damage on just one of them to create a clear path which players can use to cross the Ritual of Bones.
