New Ping Feature in Dragonflight Patch 10.1.7 – Highlight Markers for Assist and More

The Public Test Realms for Dragonflight Patch 10.1.7 have officially launched, introducing the previously announced Ping Feature to World of Warcraft. As you might know it from Games like League of Legends, players can now dynamically alert their fellow team mates.

Ping Feature

When you press that button and then click, you’ll use a default non-threatening ping. All pings currently show a marker on a location.

If you ping too many times in close succession, you’ll be locked out of pinging for a short duration. You can see the lockout in the green ring around the Ping Wheel.
