Path of Exile Leveling Guide & Overview

October 15, 2023

Read our Path of Exile Leveling Guide & Overview, always up-to-date with the latest information for Leveling throughout the campaign. From Basic to Advanced Tips & Strategy.

Whenever you start a new character in Path of Exile, you have to finish all 10 Acts in the Game to finally reach the Endgame. Those Acts are used to introduce a player into the Path of Exile, teaching them all Mechanics and practicing the Basics of Combat. There is currently no way to skip this campaign.

In this Guide, we will explain every Zone of all Acts in the Game, what Quests you have to complete and what rewards you will earn.

Basics of Leveling

Waypoints

In every zone of the campaign, players will find a Waypoint, allowing them fast travel between other zones in the game. It is recommened to look for this Waypoint in every zone, so players can quickly recover if they die, or have to travel to another location connected to a zone.

Make sure to pick up the Waypoint as your first goal whenever entering a new zone.

Quest Objectives

Players do not have to accept every quest in the Town before traveling through the Zones. This is especially interesting for experienced players which try to finish the campaign as quick as possible. New Players are advised to pick up quests and make sure to track them, showing them whenever they enter a zone if there is a quest to complete.

Most quests require players to pick up certain items, or kill a specific enemy.

Quest Objectives are marked on the minimap with a yellow ! and indicated with green text.

Quest Rewards

Some Quests in Path of Exile are required to complete in order to proceed further into the campaign. This can be a Key which opens the door to the next Zone. Those Quests have to be turned in immediatly whenever completed.

Otherwise, all other quests will either reward Skill Points for your Talent Tree, Regret Points which allow to unlearn a Talent, or very helpful Equipment. It is a must for players to complete all quests rewarding a Skill Point, which grants them mandatory character power for the Endgame. If players are not sure if they completed all mandatory quests, they can use the /passives command in the ingame chat to see if they gained all Skill Points.
