Best Embellishments

Changes in Season 3

Season 3 has introduced many Class Changes, aswell as a new Tier Set, new Embellishments and more.

Hunter

  • Fixed an issue where Entrapment didn’t share diminishing returns with other root abilities.
  • Hunter’s Mark now increases all damage taken by the target by five percent while the target is above 80 percent maximum health.
    • Developers’ note: We like the idea of Hunter’s Mark highlighting specific targets on the battlefield, so we have made an adjustment to Hunter’s Mark to cause it to increase all damage taken by five percent on targets above 80 percent health. A few quick notes about this change:
    • When applying Hunter’s Mark out of combat or before a pull, it continues to have no cooldown. If you apply Hunter’s Mark while in combat, Hunter’s Mark receives a 20 second cooldown. We don’t intend for you to move this damage bonus around frequently.
    • Hunter’s Mark is still on the global cooldown with this change.
    • Multiple Hunters can not stack this damage bonus on the same target.
  • Fixed an issue where several talents or set bonus effects that modified damage dealt or critical damage dealt did not properly affect the damage of the Poison Injection talent.

Survival

  • Wildfire Bombs now correctly states that damage is reduced when damaging more than eight targets.
    • Developers’ note: This is not a functionality change for Wildfire Bomb, but rather a tooltip clarity update. This has been in effect since Shadowlands.
  • Wildfire Bombs now deal 40 percent increased damage to your primary target.
  • Developers’ note: The Aberrus Survival set bonus increases the value of Wildfire Bomb while in single target encounters in a way that has worked out well. We want to keep this interaction going forward for Survival, so we are removing it from the set bonus and just making all variants of Wildfire Bomb, including any periodic damage effects, deal 40 percent increased damage to your primary target when using Wildfire Bomb.
  • The empowerment buff from Coordinated Assault now lasts for five seconds (was three seconds). Fixed an issue where the Coordinated Assault empowerment buff had the wrong spell description.

Mage

Stat Priority in Patch 10.2

General Stat Priority for Survival Hunter with our Build is:

  1. Agility
  2. Haste
  3. Critical Strike
  4. Mastery
  5. Versatility

  • Agility is your primary stat, meaning that Itemlevel is superior in most cases. Higher Itemlevel will also increase your Stamina and Armor that you gain.
  • Critical Strike increases the chance for your abilities and spells to deal double damage.
  • Haste reduces your global cooldown, your time to cast spells, and reduces the cooldown of many abilities.
  • Versatility grants you a flat damage and healing increase, but also a damage decrease for half of its value.
  • Mastery increases the damage of your and your pet’s Focus spending abilities. Additionally, you and your pet are healed passively.

The further we are getting into the expansion, the effects of diminishing returns start to limit your effective gain of your secondary stats. After reaching 30% (by rating) of any given stat, you will start to receive a penalty that reduces the gain from more of the same stat over this treshold.

Stat priority can differ on every character. Make sure to simulate yourself on Raidbots get the perfect results for you.
