Changes in Season 3

Season 3 has introduced many Class Changes, aswell as a new Tier Set, new Embellishments and more.

Devastation

  • Developers’ note: We are reducing the effectiveness of Mastery: Giantkiller and adding a health floor for the damage bonus. The goal is to bring some damage out of Dragonrage due to the talent Tyranny and make Devastation less reliant on hitting high health targets, while still retaining the flavor and gameplay of the Mastery. This makes them less bursty in PvP and allows them to be more flexible in raid and dungeon content. To compensate for the reduced damage during Dragonrage, we’re increasing Devastation’s overall damage as well.
  • All damage increased by five percent.
  • Mastery: Giantkiller reduced by 25 percent. For example at level 70, 180 Mastery rating now grants 1.5 percent Mastery (was two percent). In addition, damage no longer falls off once the target reaches 30 percent health.
  • Inherent Resistance reduces magic damage taken by 4/8 percent (was 2/4 percent).
  • Attuned to the Dream increases healing done and healing received by 3/6 percent (was 2/4 percent).
  • All spell and ability damage increased by three percent.
  • Disintegrate damage increased by 15 percent.

Stat Priority in Patch 10.2

General Stat Priority for Devastation Evoker with our Build is:

  1. Intellect
  2. Mastery
  3. Haste = Critical Strike
  4. Versatility

  • Intellect is your primary stat, meaning that Itemlevel is superior in most cases. Higher Itemlevel will also increase your Stamina and Armor that you gain.
  • Critical Strike increases the chance for your abilities and spells to deal double damage.
  • Haste reduces your global cooldown, your time to cast spells, and reduces the cooldown of many abilities.
  • Versatility grants you a flat damage increase, but also a damage decrease for half of its value.
  • Mastery increases your damage done, depending on their current health. Healthier targets take more damage.

The further we are getting into the expansion, the effects of diminishing returns start to limit your effective gain of your secondary stats. After reaching 30% (by rating) of any given stat, you will start to receive a penalty that reduces the gain from more of the same stat over this treshold.

Stat priority can differ on every character. Make sure to simulate yourself on Raidbots get the perfect results for you.
